Life Transitions

Life throws so many obstacles in our way that it’s hard to keep up sometimes. On top of the typical (but still difficult) transitions we face, the pandemic has led to major changes in our life. It’s okay, and expected, to feel overwhelmed. Therapy is a great place to explore how these transitions are affecting you.

Perhaps your child is going back to school for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Maybe you’re starting college and have never been away from home before. Or moving to a new place and don’t know anyone.

Maybe your child is starting middle school and worried about bullying. Or you’re going through a divorce and your child is struggling with the new family structure.

Maybe you’ve recently lost someone you love through death or the end of a relationship.

You might simply be feeling like you’re growing and finding it difficult to navigate new roles and relationships.

Transitions happen all the time.

There’s no shame in seeking help. It can be hard to understand our emotions and actions during these difficult transitions. In therapy, we can better understand what’s going on within ourselves and our loved ones, and develop skills to cope.
